Pond & Sealife
With so many wonderful stories set under the sea we’ve gathered a collection of great sensory rich toys sure to add interest and excitement to any story. Choose from the tactile tentacles, seahorse finger puppets, sealife miniatures, sharks, whales and much anticipated squidgy flashing octopus for some sensory fun. Why not dust down your copy of The Rainbow Fish, The Fish That Could Wish, The Secret Seahorse, Sharing a Shell and the Snail and the Whale and splash out (get it?) on some lovely aquatic props to send your stories sky high. If the weather takes a turn for the worst there’s always our cute light-up penguins!
We’re putting it out there that sharks are an important addition to the world of children’s stories, combining just the right amount of scariness to make stories exciting and fun. Much maligned by many adults, (still traumatised by Jaws perhaps?!) many can’t bring themselves to touch these gorgeously tactile sharks as they move to the unmistakable ‘da da’ sound of imminent danger! Why not grab a copy of Nick Sharratt’s classic Shark in the Park and the sequals that it spawned or try Peter Bently’s, The Shark in the Dark for some snappy fun that children will love. So cool are these shark puppets that even older readers of The Ghastly McNastys: Raiders of the Lost Shark won’t be able to resist these satisfyingly squishy shark puppets.
