Generally favouring environmentally friendly natural treasures rather than costly alternatives, gelli play is one of the few specialist resources that author Sue Gascoyne recommends for its unique and wide-ranging sensory qualities. Gelli Play (or Gelli Baff as its sometimes called) is an amazingly adaptable resource and a must have staple for early year's settings, schools and Play Therapists.

This crystalised jelly-like substance is great for messy play, scientific exploration, play therapy and developing physical skills. It also provides sensory stimulation and calming self-regulation. Simply by changing the amount of water that is mixed with the powder will change its appearance from fluffy white to opaque coloured jelly-like flakes (when very little water) to a rich dark glossy appearance (when mixed with more water). It thickens when mixed with warm water and stirred and even has resistive qualities making it perfect for exploring trial and error investigations as heavy things sink and others will float. Wonderfully calming to feel or great for expressing anger this is a fantastically flexible resource which offers excellent value for money as a tiny amount of powder goes a very long way.

Supplied with an Information Fact Sheet to ensure that you get the most from this great resource, it keeps for ages if the instructions are followed. As if this wasn't enough, and believe me this is one of Sue's favourite Play Therapy resources, this version also features colour changing qualities!
