Masterclasses & Training Materials

We're often being asked by local schools, nurseries and parents if we offer bite sized training and hands-on activities? Well the answer is now YES! the first of several Masterclasses took place on 12th December and was a great hit with participants. Our favourite piece of feedback came from one dedicated Colchester nursery practitioner who came on her day off! ''The best day off I've ever had!" It doesn't get better than that! Participants also enjoyed the never before offered opportunity to browse in the warehouse of sensory treasures. See below for details of our next Masterclass taking place on the 18th January.

Sensory Needs Masterclass - sharing tried and tested approaches for supporting children's sensory needs. - 18th January 2018 1.30-3.30*

This 1 hour session 2 to 3pm (plus browsing time) will offer hands-on guidance, demonstrations and bite-sized theory. The session will focus on:

  • How children learn through their senses.
  • What it feels like to experience the world as a Sensory Being.
  • Factors to consider when creating an enabling sensory environment.
  • Low cost measures for supporting the sensory needs of the whole child.

Supporting children's sensory processing difficulties, which can become an obstacle to learning, is a huge challenge for nurseries, schools and parents, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Other planned sessions include:

A Fine Mess - understanding the benefits and meaning of children's chaos! - Dates coming soon, or if you want to make sure you're first in the queue, email us at info@playtoz.co.uk.

*The actual session will take place between 2 and 3pm with an opportunity to browse and ask questions between 1.30-3.30.

Each Masterclass costs £25 and includes the chance to browse the tempting treasures in our warehouse - never before opened to the public, as well as a cuppa and slice of homemade cake!
